Stereo-PIV data including uncertainty quantification now about 10 times faster
LaVision's DaVis software with the implemented uncertainty quantification tool, enables end users to calculate an uncertainty value for each processed vector in their PIV data (i.e. an uncertainty field).

Computing Stereo-PIV including PIV uncertainty on the GPU from a pair of camera images will be accelerated by a factor of about 10 depending on the camera type and spatial resolution.. The comparison is based on representative PIV processing settings using a state-of-the-art single GPU versus an Intel Xeon CPU multi-core high-performance PC.
