Joint projects with the Brown University have been presented during the APS DFD Virtual Meeting 2020

Wednesday, 25. November 2020

The meeting was held online from November 22 to 24 and covered topics such as "Fluid Mechanics of Infectious Disease".

During this event two presentations showing the collaborating works between LaVision and the Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island have been introduced to the audience.

A lecture presented in a Focus Session provides information about the estimation of 3D velocity and pressure fields from Tomographic Background Oriented Schlieren videos using a physics-informed neural network. Please follow the link to see an abstract of this paper.

In the Gallery of Fluid Motion a video is shared which shows the quantification of the airflow during coughing based on Schlieren photography and physics-informed neural networks. With this link you will be guided to this video.
