LaVision’s DaVis Viewer is a free-of-charge visualization software designed to enable seamless viewing and collaboration using data generated with LaVision’s DaVis software suite. While the DaVis Viewer does not include data processing capabilities, it delivers the full visualization power of DaVis, allowing users to inspect, explore, and present experimental results without requiring a licensed DaVis installation. The DaVis Viewer supports the latest DaVis data formats, ensuring compatibility across workgroups and research environments. It serves as a practical tool for sharing results with collaborators who do not use DaVis, enabling efficient cross-team communication.
LaVision's Shake-the-Box (STB) technique (developed in cooperation with DLR Göttingen) is extended by a unique Object-aware STB approach, which seamlessly integrates solid object information during the tracer trajectory reconstruction process. In addition to the computational benefits of using object information for flow reconstruction, DaVis also offers the possibility to visualize the CAD models together with your measurement results. The simultaneous visualization of flow field and object data greatly improves the interpretability of the physics involved. Both, visualization alongside vector fields and particle trajectories are supported.

The DaVis Viewer delivers the full flexibility of DaVis visualization in a lightweight, license free package. Whether for reviewing data, presenting results, or enabling collaboration, the DaVis Viewer ensures that every team member can engage with high quality visual outputs.
